Frequently asked questions domestic flights Cape Verde

  1. Do I have to book domestic flights in advance?
That depends on the period in which you travel and how flexible you want to be on a journey. Our advice: if you know when you go to which island, you book an airline ticket. That way you can be sure that you have a place. As a rule, the airline tickets are cheaper as you book earlier.
In short, booking an airline ticket in advance is recommended.
  2. How long in advance do you have to be at the airport?
The airports in Cape Verde are not large. Standing in line for a long time is not usual. Make sure you are on time, because you do not want to miss your domestic flight. You can check in with domestic flights in Cape Verde up to one hour in advance.
  3. Do I pay extra for my luggage?
Luggage is included with your flight ticket for a domestic flight. You can bring up to 20 kilograms. If you have more luggage, you pay a surcharge. Hand luggage is also allowed. Hand luggage must not exceed 22 x 33 x 44 cm and weight no more than 6 kilograms.
  4. Is the airline Binter CV reliable?
Airline Binter CV is a professional organization with modern aircraft. So you can board this airline without any worries. Because the distances between the islands are limited, Binter CV does not fly with super large aircraft. So you will feel turbulence faster.
  5. How frequent are domestic flights between the Cape Verde Islands?
There are mostly daily flights to the most popular and large islands. The smaller islands have a flight with a different island a few times a week. If you fly from the windward islands (Sal, Boavista, Sao Nicolau, Sao Vicente, Santo Antao) to one of the leeward islands (Santiago, Fogo, Brava and Maio) or visa versa, then you have a stopover on the largest island of the archipelago Santiago.
